Walking each other home

Talks

We’re all just walking each other home. The sentence does not require you to be further along than the person beside you. It does not require a teaching credential. It requires company. The dying taught him this. The stroke taught him this. The years of being the one who still showed up taught him this. Home is not a location you drag another person toward. Home is the quality of how you walk.
